Day 7 Epinac to Saint-Honoré-les-Bains

Another hot day and a big climbing day, 76 km covered. The day started cool and fresh after rain during the night but the temperature soon went up.

Today we visited Autun, a lovely historical city, lots of Roman ruins. After Autun we went into the Morvan forest and hills, again very beautiful and extremely quiet area. I think we saw more Dutch cars on the road than French, at one point we went through a small village and we only saw Dutch cars.

The views from the hills we climbed were really nice, and a lot of houses lined the road with those views everyday, I think those people (Dutch maybe) are really lucky to see that every day, I think I could live there.

Now all the main hills and climbs are behind us, tomorrow we join EV6 for a last goodbye before we change direction again towards Poitier.

Today we stay in a really basic campsite a French municipal campsite, but the showers are the best we've had so far! Everything looks newly plumbed in.

Yesterdays campsite was by far the most quiet, and beautiful, I hope more people discover it because it's a young couple running it and they're so proud and I think they need visitors.

Yesterday Christoph missed having access to his mobile phone and navigation, because the fixtures for holding them were stolen with the bike, today we made a makeshift bag holder from Velcro and rubber bands with hooks, a few cuts in the bag and it worked well.
