Day 3, 93km along the very pretty Doubs, the cycle path was really nice and smooth so we did more km than planned.
It's such a wonderful, picturesque ride but to be honest, it's a little boring just cycling a straight road, no hills today🤭, but with so much to see it's rather enjoyable. We had a cheeky lunch on someone's holiday home table and a cooling swim in the Doubs.
The French are so friendly and helpful, everyone says bonjour and if we look a little lost they offer and give help, even if it means that they get honked by a car because they've chased after us to check our way and then point out the right direction! In this case the turning was a little hidden and confusing on a bridge, poor man who called after us was almost knocked over, really very kind😊
