Day 9 - Nevers to Saint-Amand-Montrond

We’ve left the EV6 for good, we followed it for a short time this morning then changed to Velo route 70 and Velo route 56 which are part of the  pilgrim route. These routes took us along quiet roads through some really pretty villages such as  Apremont-sur-Allier, a picture perfect village. We took our breakfast  of crepe and coffee on its banks. The easy roads on these routes took us past quite a few old churches, monasteries and broken down farms.

Along the way we see so many interesting buildings that are empty and run down, sometimes we think it would be nice to buy one a day talk about how we might renovate it. Some villages are so isolated, with no shops or bakeries, we really wonder what the people do, also where they work.

Christoph’s bikes doing really well, but he’s missing his phone holder for navigation support🙈 the stolen small things that we miss are more annoying than the stolen bike itself.

I had a big accident when shopping and broke a bottle of wine at the checkout as I put it in christoph’s  bag, it was sooo embarrassing!

Jokers to the right of me, clowns to the left, here we are stuck in the middle, near Le Guétin
