We’ve arrived! 967km door to door across France. We’re so happy and already a little drunk on Apero ๐
It was a last big push today, 96km, almost always on roads, which sometimes felt a bit stressful with the traffic.
The first 30km were to Poitier, where we had breakfast, a coffee, pain au chocolat and some weird eggy bread thing, which was quite nice actually.
Then 20km across a barren wasteland of large fields with no shadow, up and down roads.Thankfully, it was wet and drizzly, if we'd had the heat wave of the last few days we'd have died on these roads in that heat!
Towards the end things got interesting, always expect the unexpected ๐
After having a shower and using a proper towel instead of a quick (non) dry thing, we’re now looking forward to a big feast (my mother can't do small) and a relaxing evening with my parents followed by a sleep in a proper bed that we don't have to give CPR to to pump it up (Christoph's bed gets pumped up by pumping the pillow, looks like he's giving CPR)
